Shops and restaurants are plentiful. Downtown is filled with specialty stores selling all sorts of wares from Norwegian sweaters to Turkish handmade rugs. There are a number of neighborhood malls and shopping centers, as well.
Restaurants run from small pubs to full blown facilities. There are numerous ethnic restaurants specializing in European, Italian, Japanese, Middle Eastern, Mexican, and American cuisine. With more than 500 restaurants to choose from, there's little room for want.
Nightlife is dazzling. Plays, dance clubs, casinos and music add to the excitement. There's always someplace to go, something to do, and never a dull moment!
Attractions here keep visitors busy. Families enjoy Adventurepark with go-karts, miniature golf, paintball, bumper cars, and batting cage. The Great Plains Zoo also makes a great family outing with more than 400 species of animals on a 45-acre park.

There's no end to the fun. The Parks and Recreation Department oversees more than 2,800 acres of parks with all sorts of facilities. Three golf courses are open to the public. There are also tennis courts, swimming pools, ball fields, skating parks, bike paths, basketball courts, ski trails, tubing and sledding facilities, and ice skating rinks.
The north end of the town is bordered by the glacial lakes where fishing and camping are popular. And, amid beautiful surroundings, the Missouri River is one of the top spots in the country for fishing ? walleye being the most common catch.
Spectator sports spices up the fun. The 10,000-seat Howard Wood Field is one of the best football and track facilities in the country. Catching a Sioux Fall's Stampede hockey game or an indoor Storm football game at The Arena adds fuel to the fun. And checking out a Canaries baseball game at The Baseball Stadium makes for a great summer pastime.
