Much of this trail consists of a reclaimed double-track access road around the N side of Jackson Gulch Res. Good views of the lake from this trail, as well as access to the shoreline.
Trails at Mancos offer glimpses of Jackson Gulch Reservoir and the La Plata Mountain Range. Flora and fauna along the trails include large ponderosa, columbine, deer, elk and black bear.

Take U.S. 160 west from Durango 27 miles to Mancos. Turn north on Highway 184 for 1/4-mile, take County Road 42 east approximately 4 miles to County Road "N", and then take County Road "N" west 1/2-mile to the park entrance.
