This thrilling section of nonstop rapids is the highest part of the Colorado that can be rafted. Some of the most extreme and dangerous rapids in the state can be found in this stretch of the Upper Colorado, as its water races through narrow canyons, holes, falls, and whitewater of all kinds. Occasional portages and scouting ahead to check river conditions are a must.
