Ancient fossils still lie hidden in the bold and bronzen buttes of Badlands National Park, a protected wilderness penetrated by hiking and biking trails.
The drive to Parissawampitts Point leads through a stately ponderosa pine forest to a panoramic view of the Grand Canyon and its tributary canyons. Tapeats Amphitheater, Fishtail Mesa, Steamboat Mountain, and Great Thumb Mesa can all be seen from here.
