Ancient fossils still lie hidden in the bold and bronzen buttes of Badlands National Park, a protected wilderness penetrated by hiking and biking trails.
The general public is welcome to use Whittington Center. The Whittington Center provides quality camping facilities. The R.V. campground is equipped with full hookups. The primitive campground provides picnic tables, water, toilet, and trash removal for those who desire more rustic surroundings.
The primitive camping area contains 35 tent spaces and is limited to tents and small pop up tent trailers only. There is a central water point and chemical toilets provided. Small campfires are permitted in approved fire pits.

The Whittington Center hosts 125 RV campsites in two adjacent areas. All campsites are equipped with water, electricity, and sewage hookups. A bathhouse, complete with laundry facilities, compliments the campground. All campsites are designed as “pull through” and will accommodate the longest travel trailers. No campfires are allowed; however, charcoal or gas grills are acceptable.
