Ancient fossils still lie hidden in the bold and bronzen buttes of Badlands National Park, a protected wilderness penetrated by hiking and biking trails.
This trail begins on Road 5920 and climbs a short distance through a timber harvest area before entering the Wilderness. The trail enters a high elevation conifer forest before reaching Lake Christine. From the lake, it continues north through moderately dense forest, ending at Puyallup Trail No. 248.
