Ancient fossils still lie hidden in the bold and bronzen buttes of Badlands National Park, a protected wilderness penetrated by hiking and biking trails.
This is one of those trails all skill levels can ride, if beginner bikers may need to bail onto the road to avoid tougher patches. Lots of dips that might be scary for the uninitiated, but most of them can be bypassed. You'll find some climbs, too, long, winding, but not killing steep. Watch for logs and for the last section of the trail . . . expert level.
