Additional Details
For most of the year, the 6 rapids in this section are ClassI and II and can be handled by reasonably competent rafters, canoeists and kayakers without a guide. During spring run-off (mid-May to mid-June), however, the rapids grow to ClassIII (and occasionally ClassIV) and should only be attempted by experienced parties. There are places to pull off, relax and enjoy a picnic lunch along the way. Camping is permitted, but only at designated campsites (marked with a wooden stake).
