Ancient fossils still lie hidden in the bold and bronzen buttes of Badlands National Park, a protected wilderness penetrated by hiking and biking trails.
This area is known for its high desert beauty, wide open valleys, and stunning scenery.
Difficulty ranges from easy to very difficult. There are wide and flat gravel trails, and steep grades with loose gravel and sometimes mud. Some portions may have rock ledges and overhangs, switchbacks and sharp, sudden turns.
The trail is located off I-15 at the Meadow exit, a four miles south of Fillmore.
