Description
The popular Canyon Rim Trail starts at the Red Canyon Visitor Center and follows the edge of the canyon for about a mile before turning away through ponderosa and aspen forest to the Greendale Rest Area off Hwy 44. It offers some spectacular views. At mile 2 the trail splits in two with the western leg swinging by Green Lake before rejoining the trail. You can extend the trip by taking the Swett Ranch Trail at the Greendale Rest Area.
